Buenos Aires, January 22 (NA) – The Autonomous CTA and CTA of Workers reiterated their criticism of Javier Milei's labor reform by participating virtually in a new edition of the Executive Forum for the Defense of the Right to Work, a space that brings together union, social, academic, and legal organizations. The meeting analyzed in depth the labor reform project, which is rejected by all union organizations as they consider it 'a serious setback in terms of rights conquered by workers.' 'The CTA representatives expressed their concern about the negative impact that these reforms would have on living and working conditions (...), deepening labor precariousness and weakening the role of the State as a guarantor of rights,' it was reported in a communiqué. Additionally, the event participants agreed to 'strengthen actions for articulation, dissemination, and resistance, both at the institutional and socio-political levels, reaffirming the need to defend the right to work as a central tool for social justice and balance against structural inequalities.' Therefore, a commitment was made to hold an in-person meeting of the Forum with the CTAs in February.
